The Dragon represents a link to the Chinese martial arts history and its development from China and through Japan and Korea. The Red Dragon stands for Power, Strength and Good Luck and is also a variation of the Welsh Red Dragon.
The Red is the predominant colour of the logo and is regarded as lucky by the Chinese, the Yin / Yang symbol is taken from the South Korean flag and represents the Korean art that has been influenced by the Chinese (Northern & Southern styles), Japanese (Karate) and Korean arts (Soo Bahk Do & Taekkyon).
The two stars represents the 'Instructor/Student' relationship, the instructor teaches the student and in time the student becomes an instructor and he/she has a student of their own and so it continues.
The badge represents a TRADITIONAL martial art, NOT A SPORT, our intention is to teach the whole art, not just parts of it, for those want a sport oriented style then please look elsewhere.
I have been investigating this art for more than 30 years, looking into to basics, analyzing forms, developing Flow-drills, working with weapons forms and weapons Flow-drills, practicing Mu Shin and working with Ki Kong in order to teach the REAL art of Tang Soo Do.
The style is Godae Yong Kwan (School of the Ancient Dragon)
